About The All on Four Procedure
The All on 4 dental implant procedure makes it possible for you to have your teeth removed, your dental implants placed, and your temporary bridge secured all in one visit to our Tryon Family Dentistry offices. With careful and precise pre-treatment planning using state of the art dental technology Teeth In a Day are made possible. Tryon Family Dentistry works with patients on an individual basis to build a personalized treatment plan that maximizes the use of any healthy bone structure for optimal results.
First, any teeth that need to be removed will be extracted in a comfortable setting under sedation. Next, your dental implants are strategically placed according to your personal treatment plan. Our TFD dentists will surgically place one to seven dental implants into your jawbone depending on your specific needs. A temporary crown or hybrid bridge will be secured to the dental implants to restore esthetics and function during the healing phase. Patients are advised to adhere to a soft diet during the 2 – 3 months following the All-on-Four procedure for proper healing of the dental implants.
When the dental implants have fully integrated with the jawbone, the temporary bridge will be removed and the permanent crown, over-bridge or denture will be secured in place for a permanent, durable, and natural looking dental restoration. All-on-Four can restore your confidence and give you back a smile you feel proud to share. They will enable you to enjoy the best possible quality of life and confidence in your smile. No slipping, no discomfort, and no maintenance.
How is this different from an implant-supported denture?
The All-On-Four technique places only four dental implants at a precise angle and optimizes any healthy bone tissue. Traditional denture implants use anywhere from six to eight implants. For many patients, this technique eliminates the need for bone grafting and you can have any necessary teeth removed, implants placed, and a temporary dental restoration fit all in one surgery. This saves patients time and months of healing time. All-on-4 implants also save the patients money. This is because fewer implants are required and the entire process is done at one time. All-on-4 offers the same durability and support as a regular denture implant but with less implants and a faster treatment time.
Dental implants and oral surgery require an investment; however, we urge patients to consider not just the dollars and cents of the treatment. Replacing missing teeth with dental implants provides significant long-term benefits for your dental health and quality of life. Also, the cost of a dental bridge or denture will be more affordable up front, but those types of restorations require fixatives, cleaning solutions, and will even eventually need to be replaced. Those costs can add up over time and should be taken into consideration.
If you’re considering dental implants, the first step is to meet with our TFD team and have a consultation. During this consultation, we will review your concerns, evaluate your condition, and review tooth replacement options. Our team will discuss treatment cost and work with you to figure out payment options. We also offer financing options through Care Credit and Lending Club.
